The Project
James Lockyer Associates have completed regular inspections and structural appraisals of the bridges and walkways provided throughout the gorge to make it possible for the public to access this fascinating site.
When required we have planned, designed and arranged construction works including replacement structures, as well as a range of measures to improve the safety of the walkways and paths.
Major works in the difficult working environment of the Gorge have included replacement of the walkway beneath the road bridge, replacement of the walkway in the Devil’s Cauldron with a new structure designed to be removable during winter flood periods, and erection of handrails and guarding in hazardous areas
