The Project
Day Lewis acquired this former bakery as an alternative site for the their Liskeard pharmacy. James Lockyer Associates devised a scheme to open up the ground floor to provide a seamless transition from retail shop area to the dispensary and pharmacy to the rear.
Significant structural intervention was required to remove a substantial stone wall. To maintain an ambitious programme, we obtained Listed Building Consent for the works whilst arranging for enabling works to be carried out to meet the deadlines, including asbestos removal and stripping out finishes. A scheme then followed to carry out the main structural and building alterations before the final stage of shopfitting was completed.
Working closely with the client and contractors, the target opening date was successfully achieved.
